Seeds of Hope Medical Missions was founded to serve God and share His love and Word through international medical missions. Our primary focus is to send teams to underdeveloped countries to provide medical and other services to the people in these areas. Our goal is to partner with the people in these places and give them the tools to make their lives better. Our philosophy is that rather than giving someone a fish that will last one meal, teach that person to fish so that they can feed themselves forever

Seeds of Hope Medical Missions (“SHMM”) is a non-profit and charitable organization (classified as 501 (c)(3)) corporation whose mandate is to bring medical and practical relief to impoverished and underprivileged areas around the world. SHMM is headed by Thomas Scileppi, a “-, New York” based medical doctor specializing in gastroenterology, Eric Bembenek, a member of the New York Police Department, and Robert Bambino, a New York-based businessman. SHMM has a history of service in Nicaragua, where homes, shelters and schools were built, medical and dental care was provided, irrigation and water purification projects were developed, schools for children staffed, and education on farming methods were taught. Future mission plans include Namibia in July 2009, Cambodia in 2010 as well as continuing the work started in Nicaragua.
